Freakin' Great Times

Dear Anna,

This tour is beautiful. Beautiful people I get to spend time with, beautiful towns/cities all over this country and beautiful times had by all. Absolutely fantastic. I will miss these people a whole bunch...

Anyway...the pics from the 2 previous posts were from the last 2 weeks (I believe). We hung out with Mortimer the Rat in Aurora, had the most amazing meal at Nick's house---met his mom, went to her art stuido (stunning) and played with puppies!!!!!!!!! We spent a night in Maumee, OH where Rhonda got to hang with her best friend and then Jillian, Kevin and I made a pilgrimage to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame--SOOOOOO COOOOL!

The week finished out with a private performance in PURcellville, VA where we had a crew of seven 12 year olds! HAHAHAHA! You would think this would be hell but no no no! It was amazing! These kids rocked the house and were some of the coolest kids i've met in a while. I also got a nice visit with my love Ms. Rice and the crew in DC for the night which was fantastic! Pictures below...I will be seeing her again soon! :)
We finished the week out with 2 nights in Philly where I got to see Zura (sooooo wonderful!) in "The Life of Galileo" at the Wilma Theatre. This production was absolutely stunning and gave me a renewed respect for it all.
Michelle came out to chill as well that night and we had a grand freakin' time! She is pictured by the HUGE tire as well...

SHENANIGANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's about it...we have only 4 day weeks for the rest of tour which is nice...We are having a big ole cookout at my house on Thursday night which will prove to be spectacularific AND we are spending our next 3 day weekend in a LAKE HOUSE in Maine!

Fuckin' Great!

PEACE!

I will miss this when it is done...

It is true...I will miss this when it is done.
I have been surrounded by some really wonderful people these past few months and it will be weird to not have this everyday.

"Booooooo Hooooooo!!!", he cried.

Here is just ONE reason why I will miss this shit...

Kevin smoking IN a freezer...good lord!

Bowling Green, KY etc...the week in slight review

Dear Anna,

Not the most exciting week ever but what can you do? Good with the bad, eh? The week is a bit of a blur...but we did make our way to the ASTONISHING Bowling Green, KY. INteresting hotel but nothing really to do. We watched movies and relaxed. Nick and I watched "Half Nelson" FINALLY and I am still astounded by Ryan G's acting. He's amazing and that movies is "the balls" if you will.

We did manage to make it out for one afternoon to Mammoth Caves--the biggest cave "network" (?) in the world. Over 350 miles of caves randomly in KY! Innnnnteresting. Erica, George, Kevin and I went for a few hours and took a short tour. We had a great time under the ground. The tour was a liiiiiiittle short for our liking but still worth it. Some really cool rock structures and the like.

Pictures galore! Enjoy!

This week play Indianapolis, Aurora, Milwaukee, (somewhere else I can't remember) and Elkhart, IN. By Saturday we will be in Pittsburgh in the same hotel from last tour...WHICH MEANS---3 free drinks everday! Hahahahaha!

Austin, TX (and some about Dallas!)

Dear Anna,

HEYO!

Austin is a place you should visit someday. A cool place overall. Last weekend was a good time there. It was rainy the whole time we were there so I didn't spend TOOOOO much time outside but we did manage to have a great time. My brother/cousin Shawn came up from San Antonio to spend a few days with me and the madness that is "Encore II". Nick was also met by his best friend Ryan who we got to spend a lot of time with as well--really really great guy. We spent our first night in and then made our way to the All-Night Thrillshow of Grindhouse Films at the Alamo Draft House downtown (per suggestion of Ryan). We spent a hot 12 hours or so in there watching 4 CRAAAAZY grindhouse films ending with the new GRINDHOUSE double-feature. Twas incrediiiiible! The first four movies were nuts...there is no other way to describe them. When the main feature rolled around all nine of us had pretty much lost our minds--which I think made the film even better to be honest!

We made our way back to the hotel and rested for the rest of Easter Sunday--haha! Shawn and I spent some time hanging out which was long overdue and nice. He left the next morning before we loaded in for the show. He was unable to come the show because of some meeting but I was really glad to see him nonetheless. We loaded in to the crazy theatre at the Texas School for the Deaf. Ryan came to help and we took our time and got it done.

After that we headed into town to check it all out. Ryan took us to "Wahoo Fish Tacos" and we had a kiiiiiick aaaaaasssss meal! One of the greatest I'd had in a while. We then all parted ways and explored the city. I bought a journal--which I love and we spent some time at an art gallery and called it a day.

I don't remember what else we did...that's ok though!

The show was kinda hell...Jen was here from the office and saw our worst day...but what can you do, eh? Shit happens!

We packed up and headed on our way to Houston...i think...

DALLAS:

Wednesday (I believe) we were in Dallas and had a wonderful time. I really really really like Dallas...and NEVER would have thought I would. We got in and George and I NEEDED to have steak in Texas. George found a great place and we had a meal fit for KINGS! Then George, Nick, Erica and myself made our way to Club DaDa for a PIEBALD concert featuring MC Chris. Fucking AWESOME! Great time...loud music and it was almost like a private concert as well. Dallas gets my seal of approval.

That is all!

PEACE!

New Orleans, LA

Spent a night in New Orleans that I will never ever EVER get back.

I will never return to this place again.

All an illusion.
All a hustle.
Nothing was real.

I'm surprised as well...

Never again.

Water Valley, MS...Mansion Weekend!

Dear Anna,

Instead of staying in the mess that is Jackson, MS last weekend...we rented a victorian house built in 1894 in Water Valley, MS. There is not a whole hell of a lot in Water Valley but I think we found the best of it. This house was more than I could have ever imagined. Absolutely stunning! It was just what we all needed I think. We relaxed...we cooked...we weren't in a HOTEL!

It was glorious. We spent most of our time cooking and relaxing (It was especially relaxing to take a bubble bath in a claw foot bath tub). It was refreshing to be able to cook fresh food and sit at a huuuuuuge wooden dining room table to eat it.

We also went out to the national forest and walked around for a few hours. The lake was partially dried so we walked around the bank and I looked for rocks. I found a couple really cool ones. We also tried to move a HUGE tree for really no good reason--it was fun. HAHA!

Basically it was a wonderfully relaxing weekend and I can't recount it all. Lots of food...lots of booze and LOTS of foozball---yep!

Pictures below!

THE HOUSE! :)

Orlando--Miami--Etc...

Dear Anna,

After Savannah we ended up in Florida again. We did a show in Orlando on Thursday then a show in Miami on Friday and then back to Orlando for the weekend. Let's break this shizzle down, yo!

ORLANDO:
Our first night there--whatever...We had to wake our asses up at the crack of dawn to go get finger printed because of some strange Florida rule about playing at schools. I was having a pretty crap morning to begin with and this didn't help. So we get there at 7am and wait around to get finger printed...BOOOOOO!!!! It was over soon enough and we headed to the theatre to do the show. Show was fine...mood improved eventually and the day was over....We then headed to Miami which made my life betteR! :) More on that in the Miami section---

Our weekend in Orlando was something else entirely. How do I describe Orlando properly? Hell hole? Consumer shit palace? Sure...those will do fine. It is not the place you thought it was when you were a kid. It is kinda gross and by kinda I mean completely. We had decided weeks before this to go to Pleasure Island and we weren't backing out...so the only thing we really did the whole weekend was that. Rhonda, Nick, Kev and I headed out about 10pm...Miss Erica drove us there and we were on our way...TO HELL!

HAHAHAHAHAHHA! Pleasure Island is my worst nightmare come to fruition! First off...tons and tons and tons of the kind of people that make me want to kill babies...second...AWFUL music (though I knew that would be the case)--they coulnd't even both to play GOOD pop music...I can't even describe. So anyway...we got TANKED because honestly...that was all that could be done. We drank overpriced drinks that THANKFULLY were filled with liquor and got so shizzy-faced that we couldn't see...(sorry Mom...not my proudest moment!) All we could do was lose our minds in the midst of people grinding on each other--looking for messed up love in all the Wrrrrrong places they were...

So we lost our minds as I said before and decided that screaming at people and making fun of everyone was the best option. We also decided that going the wrong way on the turntable dance floor for about 2 hours was the best idea ever. And it was! I've never had more fun filled hatred in my life!

I don't REALLY recall all the maddness that happened after that...all I know is that the night ended with a tequilla shot and Nick and myself getting separated from Kev and Rhonda. Nick and I waited in the parking lot for them for a long while in which Nick smashed his cell phone on the ground. We also yelled at people...twas very funny and slightly tragic.

The next day was...rough...very very very rough...but we now know that Orlando is NOT the place for us. Good to know, right?

So...my advice...don't go to Orlando unless you can fly RIGHT into Disney and never leave the grounds.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MIAMI:
Hell YES to Miami!!! Sean Patrick lives in Miami and I knew I would get to see him...so I was very much looking forward to this night! We got there JUST in time for me to see Sean in "La Cage" at The Actor's Playhouse. Nicolas was a very nice man and drove me down to Coral Gables to see the show--bless his lil heart! :) hahaha...
I got there...had some dinner...saw the show and had a smile on my face the whole time. Sean was fantastic as usual! Hitting the highest of high notes and kicking those legs higher than ever before. YOU GO! :)
We went out for a drink after the show and had an amazing time catching up. I love this kid...such a great soul! He took me back to my hotel and headed home. He came to see the show the next morning and it was a blast! We all had such an amazing time on stage and I could hear him laughing from the back of the theatre. After the show we hugged goodbye and he headed out.
We spent the afternoon in Miami at North Miami beach...had a great meal and enjoyed the awesome beach. Erica went swimming in her clothes. Amazing.

Miami was over...and it was nice. We then headed to Orlando (remember the "Pleasure" Island story from above) and all hell broke loose!

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

PEACE!

Savannah, GA.---LONG TIME NO BLOG, EH?!

Dear Anna,

I have not blogged in ages...just haven't had any time!
Alllllllrrrrriiiiiiiiigggghhht! Soooo....

Savannah, GA was a great surprise. Such an incredible river city. It reminded me of a huge version of Portsmouth, NH. We got there with plenty of time to spare and headed right out. The city is set up with lots of squares everywhere. You'll walk down the road in a straight line and then hit a mini park with beautiful trees, tons of moss and statues as well. We saw a movie being filmed. We made our way through the city to the river area where apparently you can drink on the streets. We got a few beers and walked around. I took some really cool pictures (see below) and had a really great time. This is definately a city I would like to visit again in the future.

We ended the day by going to a local brewery for dinner. Had some nice beer and Grrrrrreeeeat food.

It has been a few weeks since we were there so it is a little hard to remember it all--but basically Savannah is an amazing time and I can't wait for the day I go back. A really amazingly historic town with beauty abounding and goodtimes to be had. I'm such a poet, right?

Anyway! Enjoy the pictures...

PEACE
